Home Prices: start in the high $200’s to about $800,000

Millcreek is a township at the mouth of Millcreek Canyon that voted to incorporate in 2016. It is by far the most populous unincorporated area of Salt Lake County, and would be its fifth-largest city. People love the Millcreek area because of it’s proximity to the canyons. Being right off the I-215 freeway makes it a gateway to Little and Big Cottonwood Canyons. It sits right below Millcreek Canyon, one of the few dog-friendly canyons, popular for biking and hiking. Many of the homes built in the 1960’s didn’t have air conditioning because of the cool canyon winds that blow down from the mountains during the summer. Tanner Park is located in Millcreek, which has the largest dog park on the east side, and now connects Parley’s trail on the East Bench (foothills) to Sugar House for hikers and bikers.

Popular area spots: Cactus and Tropicals plant store (also used for weddings and special fundraiser events), Log Haven Restaurant (in the actual Millcreek Canyon) and Utah’s only Jewish deli-Feldmans. Pierre’s French Bakery is worth the search as well for terrific crusty breads and pastries made daily.
