The team at Urban Utah Homes & Estates has the diverse interests, unique skills, and hyper-local knowledge, of the areas where you want to live!
Urban Utah Homes and Estates is an independent real estate brokerage founded in 2001 in Salt Lake City, Utah, by Babs De Lay, the principal broker. Babs saw a need for a full service real estate firm to be located in the downtown area amidst the urban lofts that were being built at the time around the new TRAX public transit system. They had owned a live/work space in the Dakota Building since 1998 long before the rail lines or the Gateway mall were even built, and shortly after opening up the brokerage, they moved their home to the top floor of the building to live and work in the same building. They believe in what they sell: buy local, live urban!

Downtown Location
As Salt Lake has grown in population, the company grown in size. The office is now located at the Crane Building on the corner of 200 South and 300 West. The brokerage was the first E-2 certified real estate brokerage in Salt Lake City, as designated by Salt Lake City Corporation. Urban Utah Homes & Estates REALTORS® and staff are committed to reducing the carbon imprint that the business has on the environment by utilizing standards set up by Salt Lake City Green under the Mayor and City Council. We are located a block from Planetarium TRAX stop, up the street from a GREENbike station and at a UTA bus stop, with parking all around the building.
Giving Back to the Community
Urban Utah Homes & Estates does not give out annual sales awards, cruises or cars to our agents and brokers like some of the large corporate companies do each year. Instead, UUHE helps our agents contribute to our community by sponsoring local events like street fairs, mega pet adoptions and school events and we cover for each other when volunteer work calls. We are proud to give our time and donations to such groups as the MS Society, the Utah AIDS Foundation, No More Homeless Pets, the Rape Recovery Center, the YWCA and Women’s Resource Center, the INN Between (the only hospice for the homeless in the country), the Girl Scouts, Volunteers of America and many other nonprofit agencies in Utah. If you are buying/moving to a new neighborhood we can connect you with great opportunities to join us in giving time to help make our neighborhoods, cities and state an even greater place to live!
